About
Luca Patrizio Taylor is an award-winning Irish-Italian Film and Television Composer, Producer and Musician based in Holywood, Northern Ireland and London, England. His soundtracks have been internationally screened at festivals in Cannes, Los Angeles, London, New York, Berlin and Dublin.
With over 15 years of education in music he attained an Undergraduate Degree in music specialising with a Master's in Composition for Film and Television in London, England.
Luca’s musical career started at the age of 7, as a clarinettist performing at live concerts and events with The Belfast School of Music. He was also involved with acting in productions held by The Grand Opera House in Belfast and The Lyric Theatre. He subsequently completed several Diplomas which included Live Recording, Sound Engineering as well as Composing.
During 2015, Luca began specialising in Composition for Film and Television sharpening his skills and creating his own style through re-scoring film scenes. His growing interest and knowledge in music continued with an Undergraduate BMus Degree in Music Performance at City, University of London, where he was mentored by composer Edmund Jolliffe in his final year project scoring to three documentaries. Luca furthered his studies completing a Master's Degree in Composition for Film and Television at the University of West London with professors: David Osbon, Simone Spagnolo, Bartosz Szafranski and Jan Willem De With. Luca conducted his own compositions and recordings which were showcased at the LCM Film Festival, London in 2022.
Since returning from London to Northern Ireland, Luca continues to work alongside award-winning writers and directors in Northern Ireland and England. In 2024 he was selected to participate in Northern Irelands first Film Scoring School lead by mentors Brian Irvine and Adam Melvin. He was fortunate to be surrounded by internationally acclaimed faculty and visiting industry professionals such as David Holmes, John Mcllduff, Michael Keeney, Alessandra Celesia and Madrid Carten.
Besides scoring for film Luca has also produced records in Mainstream Pop, Rap and EDM. Working alongside Singer-Songwriters, Engineers and Promoters worldwide. He has also had records successfully aired on radio stations in the Netherlands, London, New York and Los Angeles.
